Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Carbon Accounting Analyst who will play a client-facing, execution-heavy role across the entire lifecycle of a customer engagement.

From post-sales onboarding to implementation, reporting, and expansion, this role will own the end-to-end client journey, ensuring that sustainability initiatives translate into measurable operational and financial outcomes.
This is a hybrid role across carbon accounting, client management, on-ground execution, and revenue growth, making it critical to both delivery and business expansion.

Key Responsibilities

1. End-to-End Client Ownership

  1. Act as the primary point of contact for clients post-sales (post BD handover)
  2. Own the complete lifecycle: onboarding to data collection to implementation to reporting to ongoing engagement
  3. Ensure high client satisfaction through continuous handholding, problem-solving, and strategic guidance

2. Data Collection & Streamlining

  1. Gather carbon emissions and sustainability data from diverse internal and external sources
  2. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and audit-readiness through structured validation processes
  3. Build and standardize data collection and reporting workflows

3. Client Engagement & Analysis

  1. Work closely with clients to understand their carbon accounting, compliance, and reporting requirements
  2. Translate business needs into intuitive dashboards and actionable insights
  3. Help clients make better decisions to reduce emissions and improve ESG performance

4. SaaS Platform Ownership & Client Training

  1. Develop strong expertise in the Fitsol.green platform
  2. Onboard and train clients to effectively use the platform for carbon tracking and reporting
  3. Act as the bridge between client needs and platform capabilities

5. Product Feedback & Tech Collaboration

  1. Work closely with the product and tech teams to:
    1. Share structured feedback from clients
    2. Recommend feature enhancements
    3. Improve platform usability and scalability
  2. Contribute to building a product that is grounded in real-world use cases

6. Client Upselling & Account Growth

  1. Identify opportunities to expand scope within existing clients (Scope 3, carbon credits, energy solutions, ESG compliance, etc.)
  2. Support business teams in upselling and cross-selling services
  3. Contribute directly to revenue growth through deeper client engagement

7. Travel & Fieldwork

  1. Visit client locations for on-ground data collection, validation, and implementation support
  2. Ensure decarbonization initiatives are executed at the site level, not just reported

8. Project Management & Collaboration

  1. Manage multiple client projects simultaneously with strong ownership of timelines and outcomes
  2. Collaborate across internal teams (BD, product, operations, partnerships) for seamless execution

What This Role Really Entails

This role gives you a front-row seat to the decarbonization of manufacturing in India.You won’t just be building reports — you’ll be:
  1. Working directly with industrial players to measure, understand, and reduce emissions
  2. Seeing sustainability move from strategy to on-ground execution
  3. Operating across Scope 1, 2, and complex Scope 3 supply chains
  4. Contributing to real, measurable climate impact

Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field
  2. 1–3 years of experience in sustainability, carbon accounting, ESG, or related roles
  3. Willingness to travel frequently to client locations
  4. Tamil as a language(Non-negotiable as clients are based from here)

Technical Skills

  1. Ability to analyze and work with data, or a strong willingness to learn quickly
  2. Strong data intuition (“data sense”) — ability to question, interpret, and derive meaning from datasets

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Familiarity with carbon accounting standards (GHG Protocol, ISO 14064)
  2. Experience in ESG reporting or sustainability consulting
  3. Relevant certifications (GRI, Certified Carbon Reduction Manager, etc.) are a plus
